Art Explorers and the Children’s Museum at Louvre Abu Dhabi

What: Throughout July, summer camp kicks off at Louvre Abu Dhabi with the Art Explorers Camp for teenagers, a specially designed educational programme that allows children to explore the museum’s extensive collection and learn about the world’s cultures and history by interacting with the art on show. If you miss camp, the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Children’s Museum runs all summer with the theme A Costume Adventure and is an interactive game concept inspired by the clothing portrayed in artworks from the museum’s permanent galleries. The adventure comprises multiple stages, each presenting a unique challenge for children aged 4 to 10 to complete through interactive digital displays.

DSS Summer Camp at The Outlet Village, Dubai

What: For the first time, The Outlet Village in Jebel Ali will transform into a fun and interactive kids’ summer camp, with a host of complimentary activities for little ones to enjoy while parents shop the enticing offers available throughout the seasonal Dubai Summer Surprises sale. The games and activities will include parkour, mini-golf games and workshops spread across the mall within three zones. The Challenge Zone offers nine different games including snakes and ladders, connect four, mini golf and twister. Rayya Kids Club at  The Retreat Palm Dubai

What: Rayya Kids Club at The Retreat Palm Dubai offers mini Zumba, yoga and junior Olympics, craft workshops including origami, henna and handmade card making, plus their favourite kids party games. Children can become their favourite animal or superhero with face painting. The Sandcastle Club Summer Camp at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi

What: The Sandcastle Club Summer Camp at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort offers a variety of entertainment from art, craft and dancing to indoor and outdoor exercises and competitive games. The expert team at Sandcastle combines the best elements of sports, activities and games to encourage children to develop socially while learning new skills and building lasting friendships. The activities are split into two age-appropriate levels ­– ‘juniors’ aged four to seven years, and  ‘seniors’ aged eight to 12 years – and includes fun games, swimming, Zumba classes, water-based activities and obstacle courses. BON Summer Stories Camp at the British Orchard Nursery, Dubai

What: Little campers at the British Orchard Nursery can dive into a world of adventure through the popular rhyming stories by the award-winning author Julia Donaldson. Each week will focus on a different rhyme and will integrate curricular concepts by exploring the central themes though various activities as the children meet interesting characters. For instance, in The Snail and The Whale, children will be inspired by the snail who is determined to explore the world and his unusual partnership with the whale. The story will encourage the children to follow their dreams despite facing obstacles, as well as providing them with an understanding of friendship and loyalty. The stories will help the children discover each other, gain useful insights into being skilful and learn many concepts of the British National Curriculum as they move from one week to another.

ROAM at Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai

What: Older kids now have a cool hangout at ROAM, a dedicated space for teens at Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai. Designed for modern teenagers, the creative space offers a variety of tantalizing gaming zones, including virtual reality simulators, an indoor climbing net, treasure hunts and Instagram photo challenges plus some more chilled activities such as pool and tennis tables and outdoor movies. Yoga sessions will appeal to young yogis, while trivia challenges will test their knowledge on sports, music and Marvel characters.
