Mattel Play! Town
This is one of our favourite spots for tots in the city - it's clean, themed with characters that our kids are obsessed with (Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina and Barney), and the activations are true 'edutainment', developing little ones' cognitive and motor skills while keeping them busy and amused. The café also serves really quite good, healthy food - we love the salmon kebabs with mash and vegetables (OK our kids don't love the veggies but you can't win them all!).  Located at City Walk Dubai, it's open from Saturday to Wednesday from 10 am to 10 pm and until midnight on weekends; all day access is at Dh95 per child between 2 and 16. Children under 2 enter for free. (Psst - it's also a two-for-one in The Entertainer, and you can get cut-price access over the summer. Check out
